Hi everybody,

My name is Miss Kitty, no I’m not a furry feline!  I am a spoiled rotten 80# minus one leg lab mix.

Three weeks ago, while on a walk with my boyfriend Dennis, I felt a sharp pain in my left hind leg.   We babied it for a few days before visiting Dr. Lewis.  (Did I tell you I DON’T LIKE VETS?)  An x-ray showed that my kneecap was WHERE IT DID NOT BELONG!  Dr Lewis thought, oh-oh, remember that knee fracture from 2 years ago?  I think the mineralized ligament has torn.  Time to go to an orthopedic specialist at GVS (Georgia Veterinary Specialists).

Oh-oh again!  Dr. Cross did not think my knee looked like something that had been healing for 2 years.  Back we went 2 days later for a bone biopsy.

3 days later I get the bums rush, back to my family vet to get a lump rmeoved from my front left elbow!  Really?  A bum knee and a bum elbow on the same side?  Doc thought it was spindle cell sarcoma and sent thta stupid lump for pathology.

Meantime, the bone biosy came by Chondrosarcoma, a rare cancer of the cartilage.  The treatment?  Whoa!  Amputation!  Yikes!  Mom jumped into her typical research mode and found tripawds.com.  Dad/boyfriend went into denial.  But both docs advised waiting on the second pathology before making a decision.

Last Friday we got comfirmation of spindle cell sarcoma in the elbow.  With this information we requestion a phone consultation with the orthopedic surgeon.  He was n
